Comment:

Following my query are my specs. I'm
sorry they're in Dutch, but I hope you can
make out the info by comparison (or
because the names are similar to
English counterparts)

I try to install Mac OS X jaguar on my G4
quicksilver but after the first install CD, it
restarts and gives me the grey screen
with a grey apple on it. ..and does nothing
more...

The CD's are ok and legit, and they
should work fine.

Anyone have a solution?

Apparently (checking the install log while
installing) it encounters an error 22 and
can't find a certain folder

I tried everything and am growing
desperate.

AFAIK I installed the latest firmware

Any suggestions?

Thanx in advance

As I told someone else recently, this seems to be sort of a known issue, but I can't remember what the workaround was, and neither can the guy who told me it was a known issue. Have you tried the Apple discussion board and google?

Tried google and found nothing useful

As for the mac discussion board I didn't
find anything useful either...
Could this be a problem with third party
hardware? I don't like to tinker too much
within my G4 case as I'm not a pro mac
programmer, and mac's frmware
u^pdates don't work on my type of
machine (sic - also of some firmware
udates there are no dutch equivalents)

hope you could remember the
workaround... (was it a hardware one?)

Thanx in advance :)
