I have a Power Computing PowerWave 604/132 which was running on OS 8.5. I just (foolishly) replaced my system folder with the one on an OS 9 CD and my computer won't start up normally. I've been trying to start up with the OS 9 CD, as well as the OS 8.5 and 7.5 CDs I have, (normally, by holding down the C key, and also using command-option-shift-delete) and it just sits there on the blank gray screen without displaying the happy mac icon. I have a 3X CD-ROM drive connected by SCSI which was just working fine before this happened. I can't use my computer at all in this state, so any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

I'm not too familiar with any of the clones, but I understand that many of them used different CD Drives than Apple; consequently, Apple's CD driver software doesn't recognise them, and your Apple CDs won't boot.
You could try making a Disk Tools floppy, throw out all the tools from it and installing whatever CD drivers were installed on your system (if you still have them), or try something like CD-Speedtools from Intech, or CD-ROM toolkit from FWB. Then boot from the floppy and you should be able to access your installation CDs.
