Comment:
Recently, I had problems logging on to my computer because I had forgotten my password. So I used the Boot Disk to reset it and make a new password. Then I realized that I couldn't access the Keychain or Safari without the original password, because it wasn't accepting the new one. Any suggestions? I am running an Apple PowerBook in case it helps to know.
I would suggest creating a new keychain and then deleting the old keychain. To do this navigate to Macintosh HD- >Applications->Utilities->Keychain Access. You might need to click "Show Keychains" in the lower left corner if your keychains are not visible. Delete your keychains here and OS X should create a new keychain to keep all of your information in. If you want to read more about this subject go to http://www.apple.com/support/ and search for keychain.
