cannot find/open printer

I just did a fresh install of OS 9.2, on a formatted drive. I installed all the adobe apps as well as suitcase 8.2, ATM, freehand and quark. I am able to see various printers, and print queues in the chooser, and even able to select them and build desktop printers. Upon trying to print from any application, I get an error "cannot open printer". This also happens while trying to use distiller to pdf stuff. If anyone knows a fix for this, please email me asap.. It is critical that I get this resolved asap.

What type of printer are you trying to print to? What interface does the printer use? What print driver are you using?

What ATM version? Make sure you've got the latest; versiontracker.com has a link.

It is the newest version of ATM lite from VersionTracker. The error occurs with any printer as i said.. They are hooked up via ethernet, we have several standard laser printers as well as several print queues such as a trap queue, rip queue the list goes on.. Also just trying to use distiller to pdf something throws this same error. I know it has nothing to do with the printer, or the cabling..

I wish people would spend just a minute or two to browse even just the TOPICS of former posts, and reading what looks relevant, to try to get some insight on THEIR IMMEDIATE PROBLEM.
