Can yo restore an E-Mac w/out CD's?

My nephew has an old E-mac. He put so much crap on it, when it boots up, it locks immediately. He lost the restore CD's. He's 11, so I don't think he's ready for a new computer yet. Is there any solution?

No not really. You could boot from another Mac via Firewire but you still need an install DVD to boot up OS X. Try Craigslist for an OS X 10.3 or 10.4 install DVD it will run about $50-75.
