Can I run Mac OS X on a PC

I have a AMD 2600+ Machine. currently i am rnning XP Pro on it. I want to run Mac X Tiger operating system by either partition or any other way. is that possible. what hardware conflits will i face. has any one tried it. I have heard that if i download a emulator like PearPC then it should work. has some one done that.

you can quite easily get it running and 'running' is very very different to 'working properly'.
for the cost of an old Mac (sometimes free of charge) it's just not worth it. there are too many driver issues and software conflicts to sort out once you've got it running.
