Hi,
My iBook G3 (12", 600mhz, 128mb RAM, 20gb, CD) was stolen from me last week and I was wondering if I could find it somehow by doing something with the serial number of the motherboard? I don't know the MAC ID or anything, but I do know the serial number.
Any suggestions?

Absolutely not. I do know dodgy people offering stolen
laptops and the first thing they do is meticulously zero the
hard disk.

Once that's done, any software you installed has gone and
the possibility of 'ET Phone Home' software (yes, it does
exist) has gone.

Once saw a tv programme where they put a GPS device in
a PC laptop. the presenter confronted the scumbag who
mugged him at knife-point...

Sorry for the heart-break
