Well then, I give it up to the people at Ahead software for making Nero so Mac compatible.
Today I used Nero Enterprise 5.5.10.2 to burn a Mac Toast image with simplicity.
I did not have to convert the image at all!
After copying to my WinXP box from my mac via ftp I had a file named "Mac OS 9.1 Install CD.toast" simply minded, I did two simple things.
1. renamed the file with a .nhf extension. ie. "Mac OS 9.1 Install CD.toast.nhf"
2. Opened nero and chose "Burn Image..." under the file menu. CHanged the file type to "all" and opened the above file.
3. The file type was already selected as "HFS" and everything else was at defaults or zero. Hit okay and burned.
The cd created actually booted my iMac without hesitation. As for mac OS X images, we shall see...

I noticed the other day that my G4 (Quicksilver) running 9.2.1 could not write a CD in a format that was readable in a PC.
I had to use the Sony Discribe software that came with an external recorder.
Does Jaguar offer more PC friendly tools?

ultimate solution:
Purchase (yes - it is an ugly word - but it's not v
pricey) - Roxio Toast Titanium 5.1.4 or higher for
OS X - tis a thing of simplicity and beauty...cheers guys
clockwork

Anyone know how to mount or burn a
toast image on a PC? Will Nero do that?
I have some toast images on my PC of an
application that is suppose to also run on
a PC, although I can't see the PC
executables. I think I am dealing with a
split (toast/ISO 9660) disk. Anyway, iff I
FTP the toast files to my PC is there
software that can mount them or burn
them available? Will Ner o do that?,,,
thanks
