Comment: Hi there,
I have OS 8.6 installed on a PowerMac and just bought an internal HP SCSI 8x writer. Without upgrading the OS, I need basic burning software that will recognize the burner and just back up my data files.
Any suggestions?

Reply: (edit)Another burner software that just might work in 8.6 is Hot Burn (Iomega)- works with more than just iomega burners..there was a mac version for a while and i'm pretty sure on their website it said it worked on 8.6..
won't support your burner maybe though if it's too new a model (same with toast 4, i bet).wouldn't know where to find it though,it wasn't a free download (was bundled with some hardware though).
