Hey guys,
Is there any possible way of burning a cd in mac os x tiger that would be compatible with an older version of mac os?
I want to burn data from a g4 mac mini to a performa 6320cd.
Mac mini has Mac OS X 1.4.5 Performa has Mac 7.5.3

you can bring the data over. that is not a problem. it depends what the data is and what you want to do with it. for example, it's a good idea to put the suffix's on your files BEFORE you burn them off. that way you'll know what they are if they lose their generic icon - and X will recognize them properly. by the way, you shoud be on at least 10.3 or above. 10.2 was rubbish and 10.1 spectacularly bad.
the biggest issue is whether you can read the CD on the old performa. pretty unlikely. Since the drive is ATA it should be very easy to put it into an external FireWire caddy/case and save yourself a colossal amount of grief. once you've done that carefully put the Performa in the fire. it will probably self-combust anyway. heck, it dates from 1995/6
