Hi!

I want to burn a data cd on my iBook, but when I insert a blank cd iTunes starts and assumes I want to burn an audio cd. The empty cd is not even accessible from finder, but I can see it in the Disk Utility.

How do I burn a data cd?? Some help would be appreciated.

In the Finder, in the menu bar, click on Finder/Preferences, click on the 'General' tab and where it says show these items on desktop, check the box for "CD's, DVD's and iPods". Close this window.
Then click on the Apple Menu and on System Preferences. Click 'CD's & DVD's' Pane and change the options listed accordingly, ie: When you insert a blank CD - 'Open Finder'.
If you want screenshots or more info/help, email me direct. Good luck.

PS: Upgrade your OS to 10.3.4 if you haven't already, it adds a lot of stability to CD burning etc. For the actual burn, i suggest Toast Software, most reliable program of all that i use.
