OS: Mac OS 9.1
CPU/Ram: PowerMac 6500/250, 128 mb
Comment:

My Mac is a PowerMac 6500/250 running
OS 9.1 with a G3/500mhz upgrade
installed. I have IE 5.1 and Netscape 7.0
installed. Are there any more
up-to-date/faster browsers available for
my system? Thanks.

Carolyn

Whoever is posting that URL, please stop.

Anyway, there is, icab, Netscape 7.02, IE 5.X, Opera, WaMcom, Lynx, Wannabe, etc. Quite a few still out there, and quite a few still being produced for Mac OS 7, 8, and 9.

Personaly, one of the best ones since firefox isnt for Mac OS 9 is Netscape right now. But look into WaMcom.

Internet explorer 5.1 seems to be the fastest
newish browser..although for best speed in OS9x
I always use the (quite dated) Netscape 3.04..
Otherwise Mozilla 1.3.1 (WamCom, etc) is by far
the best, and most updated, choice..it may well be
the *only* way left in OS9 now to access secure
sites like banks, paypal, etc...
