i have a Imac 9.1.1! i was trying to set up my netscape account when all of a sudden this grey screen comes on of a blinking folder that has a ? mark and Mac guy flashing back and forth. i tried to restart it and it went back to the grey blinking folder thing. i was given this computer from a family teacher friend so i dont have any CDs that should come with. So if anyone can tell me what to do it would be a great help and you will be the most awesomest person EVER!! To let you know im 15 so if i need to buy something i need to buy it cheap. M!R!@M

You will probably need the operating system CD.

sleepy1, most likely your hared disk went AWOL, or you system folder got corrupted. Either way, 'tis a rather cheap fix. if its the hard disk, then youll have to buy one (here its 20$ for a 20gb drive)and the OS CDs. if you systen folder got corrupted, then youll just have to get OS cds
