OS: win95b/linux2.4 dualboot
CPU/Ram: 133 32mb
Model/Manufacturer: noname
Comment:
got a beige G3 (266 tower) running 9.2, I then attempted to install panther via xpostfacto which didn't work. so I booted from the system 9 and reinstalled 9. it installed fine, but when I rebooted it couldn't find any disks. after a few tries (and checking all cables) it booted once. so then I powered down and restarted and now it won't boot. it chimes then after a while it wil go to the boot screen but it just sits there. (no happy mac or anything)and ideas?

try rebooting from the install discs again and use the startup
control panel to select OS 9 on the hard drive as the startup
disc.

while booted from the OS 9 install disc you might want to
run disk first aid and check the drive out.

You really don't want OSX on this machine, I have the 300MHz version, tried it, and reverted right back to 9.2.2 that day. It's not worth the trouble.
