Battery won't recharge

Hi,
I have a PowerBook G3 and somehow the lithium
battery don't seem to recharge anymore. The
lightning icon no longer appear on the power
bar. Here's what I have done so far:

- The battery is already in energy
conservation mode.
-I checked the connection on the adapters and
make sure it's plugged in properly.
-The battery indicator light is on, so the
battery is not dead.
-ZAPPed the PRAM.

non of these seems to work. Any suggestions?

the battery is dead yes the light does come up thats because the dead battery is closeing the circit
