BAD startup

My Powerbook(http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=43126 -- 400Mhz) wont start!
When i push the power button, the harddrive spins up(and it sounds like it is reading from it shortly) and then, nothing! I was trying to install NT4 (can this really be done? there is a ppc folder on the install cd!) i restarted a couple of times before it whent dead and some of the times it whent black but after restert it was working! but not ennymore!

Sounds like a PMU issue, reset the PMU. OR, you did something when attempting the NT4 install, since you can NOT run NT4 or any version of Windows on a Mac without an emulator such as VirtualPC from Connectix/Microsoft (MS bought VPC).
You can always do a clean install of the Mac OS from the system CD's, follow the instructions in your manual or printed on the CD's

How do i reset the PMU? Itīs not the same as resetting PRAM(or what its called), is it?
