Subject: AUTO disconnect dramas! HELP!
OS: 10.2.1
CPU/Ram: 768
Model/Manufacturer: G4 powerbook
Comment:
My internet connect window pops up every 30 min to
see if i want to stay connected. (how thoughtfulxxxx)
i have an ADSL connection and have unchecked the
box that says disconnect if idle, and removed
everything but the ethernet from my connection
panel.

this only started after i had to reinstall from an
unrepairable crash. and it is very annoying. any
suggestions would be greatly appreciated

there are quite a few things you can do. one is to delete the
cache folder in the library at root level and also the one in
your home folder. restart immediately after doing this.

also, in network preference pane, delete each port (firewire,
modem, built-in ethernet) and restart. then fill in all the data
all over again. zzzzz. should work.
