audio player/cd and dvd player

My Macbook doesnt play either CDs or DVDs and spits
them out after a few minutes. I have tried several
different formats but with no luck. Any ideas??

it's the drive; you can look into getting apple to fix (if it's under warranty/applecare) or sending it off to get another drive for $75-100.

Ok thanks for the answer...I kinda thought that that was the
problem....the other problem I had was that on this laptop I cant
always get a wireless connection even sitting in front of the
router......maybe the antenna is damaged. I have no probs with
my other laptop...
