Comment:

Installed the ATI HD Radeon 4890 on a Mac Pro with Snow 10.6, added the exotic patch which is for the card when using 10.6.

When boot, I have to have the monitor plugged into the right DVI port, when boot screens come and gone to blank, then have to plug the monitor into the left DVI port to see the desktop.

Any ideas why? Is it a bug with ATI and Snow?

Help appreciated. Thanks

Bill

Nevermind you helpful people. Ive fixed it by using a DVI cable instead of the DVI to VGA adapter. For some reason, the 4890 doesnt like it, must be to do with communicating to the monitor as the adapter works fine on a lower spec ATI Radeon card.
