I guess it's simple, but I really don't get it! I've an IBook and a G3, connected with an ethernet cable. I used to open Chooser, click on AppleShare icon and select the other mac. Connection established. I've really not a clue how this simple procedure works under OSX. (mind you, the G3 still runs OS8.6, only the IBook is upgraded to OSX. In Chooser on the G3 I do not find the name of the IBook anymore, on the IBook itself I simply do not find how to start. It's pathetic, after 20 years working on macs, I can't figur out such an obvious thing...???

Hi it should be easy in Mac Os X in one of the menu bar it should have a "Connect to" in there u could browse the network for other mac i just hope this help in some kinda way i just don't have os x in front of me.. no more.. :(

You have to have AppleTalk turned on in most cases. Use the Help, too - it'll tell you what to do.
