Does the DVI to ADC adapter work with Mac Pro laptop and Apple LCD monitors with ADC port?

I need a power supply (for the 28 volts, plus powering the
USB connectors - it's a Cube power supply actually) when
using my 23" Apple Display - ADC connector - together with
the Griffin adaptor on my 15" PowerPC 1.33 and 1.67Ghz
laptops. Phewwwww.

the same will apply to any other modern laptop with DVI out
to ADC connector. Not a pretty bundle of cables but it does
work very well. Apple make a similar adaptor that looks like
the PowerPC laptop charger.
