Hi- I just got an OLD Macintosh SE computer with a black and white screen from a friend and I have a PC with AOL on it, and I want to use my AOL account with the Mac, and I don't know if it's OK to download a Mac AOL version on a standard floppy on my PC and transfer it to my Mac. I think that it has Mac OS 6 on it and I don't know what AOL versions work on it or anything much about it. I just went to a computer store and bought a Mac modem, and I don't know how I can use AOL with my Mac. Someone please help! Thanks!

Congratulations, You just paid more for a modem than your Mac is worth. You will need to get an MOLDY OLD version of AOL to run on your SE. AND you will need it to get it on an 800K (CAN an SE take a 1.4? I don't think they can.) floppy in MAC format. And IF AOL will support the old version (It probably WON'T.) it will be achingly slow ONTOP of the usual AOL traffic-jam slowdown. Take my advise....don't bother. Return the modem and get your money back. Find something interesting and feeble to do with the SE and don't frustrate yourself.
