Wierd one this.

I've just purchased Age of Empires II Gold for Macintosh,
but I am having a problem running the game after installation.
Every time I click on the AoE 2 icon to play, I get this
message:

"The path HD 2.9Gb B:Age of Empires II Gold contains a
slash (/), backslash (\) or period (.). Please remove the
character from the appropriate Folder's name and try again."

The developers don't seem to know the answer. Does
anyone else? Thanks.

Just a shot in the dark but it looks like the name of
your harddisk is HD 2.9Gb. Note the period in
2.9? On a PC the Primary Master is C: regardless
of the volume label but on a Mac, the volume
name is used in the path.
You will have to rename the Drive to something
like HD 2_9Gb (no .\,/) and will have to alter the
preferences of the game or reinstall it.
