Marla,
Did you ever find stepxstep instructions on using MSN on your Mac? I too bought a iBook thinking that I could use MSN on it, but I cannot find any help on how to load it or if it's compatible. Help! Thanks.

Did you both ever figure this out. I have been told you can use on your mac, but I can't find the appropriate site to download the software.

I have looked for a month , and still cant
find MSN for my Mac.
I had called MSN tech support, they
couldent help. If it is so hard to find and
setup,is it worth it , and what good would
MSN tech support be .

I use msn on my mac. Just download the msn software and configure your TCP/IP settings for msn. Unfortunatly, I just upgraded to OS 9.1 and it erased the IP address settings. I have them somewhere, I'll find them and get back to you.

Here's the settings that worked for me. In the TCP/IP settings:
Connect via = PPP
Configure = using PPP server
Additional Search Domains = msn.com
Name Server Addr. = 206.115.223.60
206.115.223.61

Then close and save TCP/IP settings.
Open the Remote access control panel and set to the following.
Name = MSN/your member name here
Password = your password
Number = your dial number
Then press connect. These worked for me using OS 9.1.

I am using a PC to connect to MSN, now. But, I am trying to help my friend connect to MSN using his Mac. It will connect to MSN, but it won't go anywhere. I mean, the pages won't load or anything. Is this what it is doing to you both?
What kind of steps besides what you have posted above will MAYBE fix our problem.
Please email me at mrpeteyboy@msn.com if you can help me.

Pete
