9.2.2 clamshell Ibook won't start

OS: 9.2
CPU/Ram: 512mb.
Comment:

The machine chimes at startup, but the screen is white and non-responsive. Tried start up disk but no dice.

Have you tried resetting the PRAM?

Hold down Apple+Option+P+R at startup, you'll hear a
chime, and then a second chime. you can let go after you
hear the second chime.

Have you tried taking the battery out, putting it back in?
