Hello, I would appreciate any help with the new USB Sony CD-RW 2100U. My system does not recognize the player/burner. I have looked every where.
SYSTEM INFO: Power Mac 7300/180 w/ G3 18GB external hard drive PCI/USB2 Adaptec card (the System Profiler does recognize it.) Toast 5 and iTunes (both turned off in extensions) B's Recorder Gold (came with the CDRW)
ACTIONS: I have been to dozens of web site for info. Have called Sony support line. (Yes, it is plugged in and the light is on) Have downloaded the USB 1.4.1 drive from Apple. Still no luck. Thanks so much for any help..

Thank you The Pickle for that tip. I checked on Sony's Tech on-line support. And to find out Sony CD-RW don't operate on Beige Mac. Though anything after the Blue Macintosh it will support. Sony is not Mac friendly or maybe the other way around.
