8.6 on a windows network

i am trying to put a Mac OS 8.6 on a windows network. i dont car about seeing files, i just want to access the internet. if this helps i have a Linksys wireless b router w/ 4 port switch

what exactly is the problem

OS 8.6 uses dhcp thru tcp/ip
so all you have to do is open
CONTROL PANELS and then
select TCP/IP and make sure that it is set for
BUILT-IN ETHERNET and DHCP will supply the
ip info automatically

this will get you on the internet
