I'd recommend using Gaim instead. It can be set up with a bunch of diff. messenger programs, Yahoo included. Real easy too, and updated all the time. It might even come with Mandrake, I know it's included with Redhat. If not, check out the home page gaim.sourceforge.net

Try typing in the Terminal:

cd /usr/bin

then type:

sh ./ymessenger

That should work.....

Oh.... I'm sorry.... Wasn't thinking... If something is located in

/usr/bin

then all you have to do is type the name of the file.... /bin is the first place the terminal window will look if you type a single command in then it looks in /usr/bin... So......

Just type

ymessenger

It's a good idea to create symlinks in /usr/bin to any frequently run executables. That way you dont have to cd and then execute all the time... Yahoo just does it for you...
