Hi there,
i have used VNC for a while on Windows machines and experimented with the display redirection on my Redhat 9 system. I find these very useful. Now there is one thing i can not accomplish, no matter how hard i research: How can i remote control a RUNNING gui? Is there any way to drag a running graphical program from one Xserver to another at its runtime? Or simply remote control a running X display? (Like VNC does on Windows?)

Any suggestions / insights very welcome.

Well, I have been unable to find this as well, but I have found something else that may be of use. You can at least VIEW what the other displays are doing by using the 'xtv' command, if you have it. 'xtv -d :1' will view display :1 in another window.

As for the rest I have no idea, but it seems like a simple concept of just switching displays, and I can't figure out how to do that. Can't you just force your physical screen to :1 or :2 or something? It really seems like it should be possible.
