Hi! Im trying to run quake 3, the linux version, but it wont start due to some OpenGL problems. When I try to start the game it says: "You are using Mesa (no hardware acceleration)!". I have a GeFoece 2 GTS and quake runs just fine in windows on the same box so I guess its gotta be the drivers that are old, or something, but im not sure what to update!! Should I try updating Mesa or XFree86 or is it something compleetly different??

Fedora 4 uses Xorg 6.8.2. Xorg forked from XFree86 when the developers changed the license. I don't think any major Linux or BSD distributions are still using XFree86.
Mesa does OpenGL in software. You need hardware acceleration to play Quake 3. Upgrading Mesa won't help. Instead, install the nVidia drivers from nVidia.com. This link should take you to the latest version.
