X windows on Slackware Linux

I was wondering how I can reinstall just the X Windows part of my linux installation ? I deleted some of the programs and I wanted to get them back. I'm using Slackware 8.0, Kernel 2.4.5

hey man i don't know the answear to your Q but i would really like to know if you ran into any problems with installing Slack 'cause i tried to install the thing for about 3 months and i just couldn't get it

Did you post about your problems w/ Slackware? Its one of the oldest distro's out, and the documentation at their site is pretty thorough. Mail me if your still insterested.

Trader - I didn't run into any problems when I was installing Slackware. I like it the best because you can tweak anything that you want. If you have any direct problems you can email me.

try the commands upgradepkg removepkg installpkg, read the man... they're easy and pkgtool is a bit more intuitive... any way go in the slakware dir on your slack cds and remove all the packages in the x* trees and reinstall them... the setup and xwmconfig scripts may be of help too.... BTW Y are you willing to remove and reinstall X???
