Comment:

I am in the transition from windows to linux and probably the biggest question I have is about wireless networking. My network is using a belkin 54MB/S adapter and belkin router, all the other computers on the network are windows 2000. Exactly how do I set my network adapter and network settings in mandrake? The network is encrypted also. It is set on static IP. Is there any other applications I need to set it up on my computer?
-Thanks

According to the linux-wlan's list of supported nics, NO Belkin 802.11G cards are supported due to them using the Broadcom chipset. If you have a card supported, linux-wlan is what you would want to get it working.
