Hi,
I am new to Linux and seem to be having some difficulties. I have 2 HDD (a 40 GB and an 80 GB). I just got the 80 and partitioned it with 2 GB for linux and I made a 2 GB swap. Anyway, I have a microsoft wireless keyboard. The first time I installed linux it worked. I messed up the partition and had to partition the hd again. (It's the 80 GB which is currently the slave I have linux in the first 1024 cylinders as I read that should work fine). After reinstalling Lycoris, the mouse stopped working but the keyboard worked fine. I reinstalled it Linux again and it didn't work. I know nothing about Linux (hence my wanting to install it). I can accept the fact if it was a fluke that it worked and won't work again. I can't get a regular keyboard because my wireless one was a gift. Any information as to what to do or a good place to look for more information would be greatly appreciated.

I would not start out with only 2GB for Linux.

A full installation takes just for the files already more than 3GB (thinking about RH8.0 or so). In addition you need room to breathe. Install it with 5GB Linux and 1.5 GB swap (or just 1GB) and we'll see if you have the same trouble.

Graphics need space, especially in /tmp

How did you ever get the kb/ms working in the first place? The desktop isn't supported by linux officially.

What kind of linux are you using?

Did you end up getting it to work? How?
