Hi,
I have successfully installed my USB wireless adapter using the linuxant driverloader. I can detect my wireless interface, configure and connect to a wireless network, however I can't send or recieve any packets. I can't ping the other computer connected wirelessly.
I am running an Ad-Hoc network, and currently have all encryption turned off while I get the wireless connection working properly.
The IP address of the wireless interface on my machine is 192.168.2.1, and the wireless interface on the other machine (Windows XP) is 192.168.2.2. Subnet mask on both is 255.255.255.0, and no gateway.Could anyone please help me out by pointing out anything I have done wrong, as I am confused that it connects properly yet no data can be sent/recieved.
I know the wireless setup on the Win Xp machine works as I used to run a wireless network between two Win XP machines before installing Debian.Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Cameron

Samba does not appreciate ad-hoc Networks.
If it neither works wired, maybe Lisa can
help you. I used to hate her, but she can
really be a good help.

What are the outputs or /sbin/ifconfig, /usr/sbin/iwconfig and /sbin/route? Does your wireless adapter have a link light on it? Does it come on? Did you run dldrconfig to enter your linuxant serial number and complete installation?
