Hi, I have just installed Linux on my new computer (i had Ubuntu Linux on my old computer), the install and dual-boot work fine, but I have been having a problem with my wireless card, it does not work. I have a Linksys WMP54G PCI wireless card on my computer, which is identified as a RT2561/RT61 802.11g PCI. I have tried using ndiswrapper, but under Yast's hardware information, it tells me the driver is rt61pci, even though i set the driver to rt61. How do I get my wireless card to work?

As I understand it , the chipset is a Broadcom,
Linuxtant supposedly sells the driver for it at 20$ or so,
If it were me I'd look into a different card,,, ( that's just me,, )
Atheros chipsets, are more readily supported with Mad-Wifi
Have you updated the kernel?
there may be issues related to the latest kernel update, ( 2.6.21... to 2.6.22...)
I apologize if this reply doesn't sound like I'm helping much, had tried various wifi cards before getting one that actually worked well, I looked up supported cards and the drivers for them, before deciding which one to buy and ended up buying a couple of them before I got one that actually worked on SUSE 10.2
the one that did it for me was a D-Link WDA 2320 with mad-wifi
MSI 845e mb 1 gb ram and a p4 2.4n running xp ,win 2000 advanced server and win 98 SE alot to learn and I know so little !!!!
