Can anyone give details where to find driver for my Diamond Supra Express 56i Pro Winmodem as it does not work under Mandrake 9.1. Only positive responses welcome. I have already tried linmodems.org, but to no avail.

I am "positive" you shouldn't use a Winmodem. Get a real modem (external serial).

That's right, like C Legend stated: you shouldn't use a winmodem in linux, why? what are the first 3 letters of the word "winmodem" ? win, therefore: windows. Not Linux! Use a external modem or if you happen to be the owner of an old motherboard with ISA slots, find a ISA internal modem, they work fine too.

Uhh, did you see the part about "only positive response welcome"? I don't think this guy wants to be told that he should go out and buy a new modem. He's trying to get a winmodem to work in linux. It's been done before, maybe not nessesarily with that exact modem, I don't know. In fact, at this moment, I'm also trying to get my winmodem to work in linux, and I wouldn't appreciate someone telling me to "get a new modem." And why are people telling him to go to a site which he stated that he already went to? Anyways, enough of my negativity. I wish I could help you, but I don't know anything about that particular modem. Maybe try going to http://www.google.com/linux and typing "Diamond Supra Express 56i Pro" if you haven't already done that. Oh, and one last thing...
