WINE for linux-where do i get?

K guys, I like windows, but I love linux, i want linux mostly on my other rig, but i still want the freedom of windows gaming. i was reccomended WINE a windows emulator. now i ask, how good does my system have to be to use it and where do i get it. any help would rock

It usually comes with most distros these
days too, you should be able to find it on
the installation CDs...although it wont be
the latest version.

It is still a little flakey (possibly the
understatement of the year!) but does sort
of work, I use it to run DreamWeaver here at
work and winex (from transgaimg) for playing
windoze games at home.
