From now on I just hate Windows. It´s just f---ing spyware. A minute ago my computer told me to download virtual machine. I clicked on the "download" button, and came to Microsoft´s homepage. There i got the message.. virtual machine is not downloadable for Windows XP, please download Servicepack 1. And this is just because they want my computer to send info about all my programs etc.

The attitude of Microsoft is one of the primary reasons I am continuing to use Linux more and more. It's going to take time to get it all figured out, but so did DOS, and so did Windows.

Yes, Go to linux. Linux is the best. You can leave it running for weeks without having to REBOOT. As you know,REBOOTING IS A MUST FOR WINDOWS!!! IT SUX!!

Well,

first, keep your cute little stones in your pouches. Your "wannamessupwithwindows" is not interessant.

If the guys outta there let Bill Gates aka Microsoft do weird things like this XP-Activating stuff & else, it is not Your Problem. You have brains. Use it. Use your Windows behind Firewall; Download Windows Updates & Service Packs with Linux, so they cannot at all get Data related to Windows boxes; Forbid Windows to send Data to Microsoft: Use Things like Etherreal to find out which ports it tries to send data you don't wantto be sent.

And don't tell me I am from Microsoft or similar crap. I use Linux as well as Windows and I am content with both!

This thing with Rebooting I can't test: I have no Krösus behind me, which pays my energy toll.

Stay Tuned Folks. Its not worth the Bandwidth to flame around here.

Cast off the microsft yoke and embrace the world of stable, secure computing. It's one of the great tragedies of our time that an inferior product rules the market. My parents have windoze ME, which was a shameless attempt on gates' part to cash in onj the millenium. It's less stable than windoze 98, but apparently microsoft thought no one would notice because of the "cool" new look. Then there are those "downloads" from microsoft it constantly retrieves. Kind of like having a CIA spook right in your own home. Anyway, welcome to Linux.

O.K. Well let me say this. I AM from Microsoft (Tech support). After work, I go home and turn on my Mandrake LINUX computer. What does that tell you!

All this windows bashing is very ignorant. I mean I love windows just like I love Linux. I love to be able to come home after work and just plug a new device in and it works!!!! No reading books for hours or scanning forums for help. I like windows because I dont need to think. Sometimes you dont want to think. I just want to get something DONE and not have nay hassle. I also love linux because it is MUCH more stable. I remember only 2 crashes in 5 years!!!! Not counting the times X Windows crashed but I was able to keep the OS running. I think both operating systems have their pros and cons so why bash? Also I want to note that why does everyone think winows is full of spyware? Any REAL evidence? The way I look at it is why would they? To sell information to companies? For what a few million? I read in Money Magazine that they pull a billion a month. I wouldn't worry about Bill spying on me.

The things linux did for me, Windows never did like detect all my hardware without any problems. Windows, however, didn't recognize my sound and LAN card(after i installed Windows ME becuz XP was a damn nightmare, so i switched it). But, Windows ME didn't recognize my sound and LAN card as i said before. Now, what does that tell you? I'll tell you, it means you have to download drivers just so the damn hardware could work properly and so Windows knows what the hardware actually is and it still didn't work. So when i finally had no choice but to go back to XP, everything worked. I found out that the manufacturers designed those 2 components to work ONLY WITH XP. But all i have to do is buy a new LAN and sound card compatible with ALL OSs and finally get rid of XP=Xtra Problems!!!

Ok.. lemme say a couple things here:

windows is a POS..

i never truly understood what the deal with Micro$ux ownin a monopoly till i was hurt by it..

after using windows so many years.. it has come to the point in which i just hate it..It always crashes on my system. nearly twice a day. programs freeze.crash . burn.. kill the whole damn system.. all the problems that i have enocountered in pc computing mostly have come from WINDOWS. PRoblems.. such as.. why the hel* is my pc restarting itself when i run IE. or why does this program crash every time i start.. STUPID BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH.. ihate u..

all those damn things..
all thanx to windows..
i went to linux and realized how much better it was.. ITS very stable.. VERY VERY STABLE.. just using the os i can feel its stability.

not only that. but i never had to use any drivers for linux. i just installed it and boom. all my devices were there.. IT EVEN KNEw the moDEL NAME of my monitor.. that truly impressed me.

thanx to linux i been able to get on the net when windows needed a driver i couldnt get [cause of course i was offline]

only thing linux is troublin me with is installin its rpm packages and using certain commands.. installin other drivers.. that sorta stuff linux newbies need to learn.
but i will..

also

i left 1 -3 programs runnin on my pc overnight. GAME SERVER. [Quake2]
and the most it has worked without crashing eventually is 1 day.
I MEAN the pc iSNT DOING ANYTHING
why the he*l u have to crash so much
U piece of thrash..

I HATE U WINDOWS!!
GotO HEL*
