bassically, Red Hat nine runs mainly off of a GUI. It is called X. I don't know if that is what you are looking for because it isn't set up exactly like Windows. I would suggest using it though, because it is pretty easy to use (stick with RPM downloaded files to start with). More or less, I think that u, as a windows user will be able to fumble through red hat 9. (With RedHat 9.0 u shouldn't have to use any commands to run X... er let me rephrase... I don't have to. I am pretty sure that X starts up with it.) Anyhow, I have only been on Linux for about two weeks. (I bought Red Hat 9.0 for dummies.) Anyhow within the past two weeks, I have been able to bumble my way through almost everything that I have needed to. (The install picked up all of my drivers (excluding the printer which was easy to set up.) All in all I think that Red Hat is very user friendly and that u don't really really need to get a Windows GUI.) If you really really want a gui I would suggest an emulator (just search Windows... it will pull up a bunch.) be warned though, that most emulators you have to pay for. (I know because I looked for one that was free, gave up and just realized that you don't need one for Red Hat, it is better just to bite the bullet and just learn how to use it (it is deffinetly worth it.))

There are plenty of free choices.

Lindows and Lycorix are cheap (but not free) Windows clones.
