I have a Dual-boot of Win98 and Redhat6.2. It has thus far ran flawless. Under Windows I installed a Sound Blaster pci128 sound card, Rebooted the machine many times no problems. Went to try to install the card under Linux. I wouldn't install. Rebooted tried again. again, again.... Finally gave up for the night. Tried to boot back into Windows. Wont boot "Windows protection error". Went through step-by-step confirmation. Last driver that loads is msmouse.vxd. Can still boot into Linux fine (thankfully!). Any ideas?

You should be able to boot into Linux just fine but you may want to try another Linux distribution such as SuSE which is very similar to RedHat but has added hardware PCI support for your exact reason.

This is the Linux forum so noone cares about your window$ problem. On the other hand, saying you tried to get your soundcard working and gave up isn't enough info for anyone to be able to help you.
