Win98 & Linux on same machine

I downloaded mandrake linux 9.0 and i want to install it on a blank hard drive. i want 2 partitions, one for W98 and other for linux. which OS should be installed first? i'm completely new to linux. anything else I should know? any online guides? thanks.

I would make a partition and load up win98. After that is up and running, start the Linux install. It has a section for partitioning the hard drive. Just make sure that it doesn't delete your existing win98(fat32) partition.
