Off and on, I've made brief and violent forays into the magical world of Linux. Being a Windows-Native, but not entirely computer illiterate, the experiences were...interesting, to say the least. I experimented with sooooo many distros, it's not even funny. I swear, I can reformat my hard drive in my sleep... But I digress. In my travels, I noticed that it was, generally speaking, a real pain in the ass to dual-boot Linux and Windows XP. Sure, there are a number of ways to get around this, but I'd like to not run the risk of corrupting my hard drive/MBR, if possible. Anyways, my point being that GRUB 2.0 seemed to be the only Linux bootloader that recognized Windows XP on my NTFS hard drive, and successfully booted it. Unfortunately, I only have one distro that it comes standard with, and I don't like the distro. My question is, what Linux distros use GRUB 2.0? Anyways, thanks for listening.

i believe the most common linux newbie problem begins "help, i can not boot ...."
i also believe my hard drive MBR is sacred. so,
I always boot from floppy. I use lilo and have Win ME and 3 or 4 linux distro's installed. I can boot any of them with the boot diskette inserted, only Win w/o a diskette.
