I've been out of the linux scene for like a year. I need help.
I wanna setup a LAMP but also with tomcat to support JSP.
Which Linux Distro should I go with?
I dont want an overly complicated setup. Just a webserver and SAMBA. I'm not a linux expert so please take that into consideration when suggesting. Right now i'm thinking going Fedora Core or Slackware.
Money not an issue?
Where do you live and when are you not home?
I'm not gonna rob you, I'm just gonna steal some stuff

ive used redhat, which is like fedora, never used slackware. i always hear of people using redhat and fedora, and hardly ever do i hear of slackware. id say go with fedora.
p4 at 3330mhz

"im just a kid" and 15 at that

Hardly ever hear of slackware? Well it was released before redhat but is probably more used on servers than the desktop, hence not so many people talking about it.
I would disagree and go for slackware for a fast and robust server. I would probably suggest fedora more as either for the desktop or to someone new to GNU/Linux. I use slack for my servers at work as well as my desktop and home computers. Debian is also another popular choice for security and stability as is BSD if you don't mind not running a linux kernel.
