Well, I think RH 7 runs 2.2.16 but I'm not sure.

We can find out, though. Run this command:
"uname -r" (without the quotes). What prints
on your screen will be the kernel version in
all it's glory.

if i do have this version of the kernal, then isnt there an updated kernal out there and what would the advantages be on getting the updated kernal?
