hmmm.. don't know really, but by looking at the xdm configuration files, I would say you should check the /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xdm/Xresources for a line containing "logoFileName", followed by a xpm file name. that SHOULD be the xdm logo shown at login time. If you use kdm or something else, this information would certainly not apply.

I've found the solution : The file /etc/X11/xdm/Xsetup_0 contains those definitions.
