where do I get a boot floppy?

I have the 3 cd set. I can't make a boot disk in windows. (error 161) NO go in dos. I have debian loaded and I cant get Mandrake 8.2 to load here either. Can anyone spare a woking copy of a boot floppy of mandrake 8.2. paul ps if this is another of the disfuntional distros I would be glad to hear about it now. thanks
