Reply: (edit)Your hardware is within the range well supported by just about any Linux distribution. If you are new to Linux you might try SuSE or Mandrake. They configure easily and they offer you a lot of functionality.

Reply: (edit)I am currently running Suse on a Dell. If you want to have a dual-boot system (keep Windows) it does all the partitioning for you. I think it's also the easiest to update and figure out. I would recommend getting the Mozilla Firefox browser, though, because I thought the one Suse came w/ sucked.
