If you've gone to Mandrake's website, then you know that it tells you to download those three ISO files. Burn them to your CD as an image files. It is really important to burn them as an image files or you won't be able to boot up for installation using the first CD...

try Red Hat Linux 7.3 if you are new to linux, its GUI friendly, have maximum database of Hardware Drivers (ie less complications) you will find it on ftp://ftp.redhat.com/pub/redhat/linux/7.3/en/iso/i386/ download all 5-6 or first 3 .ISOs and burn it on CDs

One more option...purchase 'Red Hat Linux 7.3 for Dummies' at your local Barnes & Noble and get the publisher's version of 7.3 PLUS a book to further your knowledge. I did and the install went great, as it should. The book cost $29.99 before discount.
