I did install Linux without network support (eventhough my system has 2 ethernet cards). But when I do "ifconfig eth0", I have the following happy surprise: I can see the resources for my 2 ethernet cards. In this case, are my ethernet drivers loaded as modules or are they compiled into the kernel?
Other Question: How can I know that a driver is compiled in the kernel or loaded as a module?
