I have the w32codec and the XMMS smpeg plugin installed on my system. The w32codec is supposed to allow me to view m$ video formats in Linux but it seems that something has to be done to inform the media players that w32codec is installed because I cant play avi files in XMMS right now. I tried to find a way to tell XMMS to use these codecs but I havent suceeded. Any ideas? Thanks

Summary: I don't know why you keep having problems with xmms but here is what I did on my RedHat Linux 9.0 (and it should work too for Fedora Core 1). I download xmms-mpg123-1.2.7-21.i386.rpm, xmms-skins-1.2.7...
